At their Oct. 16 regular meeting, the Joshua ISD Board of Trustees recognized many members of the JISD family.
The Board recognized all JISD Principals and Vice Principals for “National Principals Appreciation Month.”

The Board recognized the Nichols Middle School 7th grade Cross Country boys for their 1st place finish at the Lone Star 8 District competition. The students recognized were: Aayam Adhikari, Ammon Aguirre, Ryan Baxter, Kolby Frenzel, Benzz Heet, Zadok Hollins, James Howard, Wyatt Hurt, Tysen Moss, Alonzo Rangel and Adam Zurovec.
The Board recognized the Nichols Middle School 8th grade Cross Country girls for their 1st place finish at the District contest. The students recognized were: Peyton Davis, Natalie Prieto, Elexee Ray, Sadie Reyes, Allie Simmons, Peyton Thill, Haven Watson and Ella Wood. Elexee Ray finished 1st place.
The Board recognized the Loflin Middle School 7th grade Cross Country girls for their 1st place finish at the Lone Star 8 District race. The students recognized were: Trina Chebaibai, Lilli Coxwell, Abbigail Gray, Izabell Gray, Allie Henry, Kimberly Martinez, Avery McCoy, Shanthel Ortiz, Zoe Ramos and Bella Thompson.
The Board recognized the Loflin Middle School 7th grade Cross Country boys with Julian Duran placing 1st and Andres Castillo placing 7th in the District.
The Board recognized the Loflin Middle School 8th grade Cross Country girls with Brynlynn Carroll placing 4th and Alyssa Steenbergen placing 8th in the District.
The Board recognized the Loflin Middle School 8th grade Cross Country boys for placing 1st in the District. The students recognized were: Bryan Beltran, Eli Brown, Jason Cervantes, Elias Cortez, Mark Davenport, Tucker Davis-Payne, Logan Fielder, John Huston, Ashton Kline, Judah Molina, Eric Puga, Jaxson Reeves, Aaron Ruiz, Jackson Thomas and Cross-Country Manager Yamileth Ramirez.
The Board recognized Loflin Middle Schools 8th grade A & B team football for winning the Battle of 174 against Nichols Middle School. The A team won with a score of 24-6 and the B team won with a score of 14-0.
