The Joshua ISD family got together under one roof and celebrated during the annual Staff Appreciation Banquet and Auction last Friday evening. This year's event had a record-high turnout of approximately 770 employees.
The event recognized the hard from all of our employees this school year. Staff were greeted at the doors of Galbreath Gym and were awarded a door prize of their choice.
During the banquet, employees were treated to dinner courtesy of Roscoe's Barbecue. Superintendent Fran Marek recognized the JISD Board of Trustees and the Joshua ISD Education Foundation. Mrs. Marek also announced the 2022 Employee Scholarship recipients.
Education Foundation Executive Director Julie Pool announced this year's Grant recipients. Altogether, the Foundation donated a record-high total of $79,764.05! Recipients can be found at the bottom of this article.
Mrs. Marek also recognized our Teachers of the Year, Support Staff of the Year, Service Award recipients, and Retirees. Recipients can be found at the bottom of this article.
Afterward, the auction portion of the event featured 70 various gift baskets. The auction resulted in 17,666 raised; which was $2,836 more than last year. All proceeds will go towards scholarships for seniors.
