Joshua ISD is pleased to announce the following administrative staff changes for the 2023-24 school year.
Melissa Kinnear has been named the Ninth Grade Campus Principal.
Kinnear was most recently Nichols Middle School Principal. She has over 20 years of educational experience, including time as a content specialist, an ELAR teacher and coach at both the middle and high school levels and an assistant principal at Joshua High School.
Kinnear holds a Bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University and Master's degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership.
Tammy Watts has been named the Nichols Middle School Principal.
Watts will be moving from the same role at North Joshua Elementary. She is no stranger to Joshua. The JHS Class of 1998 product taught for 16 years at Loflin Middle School before moving into administrative roles at NJE.
Watts has earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.
Tracey Green has been promoted to North Joshua Elementary Principal.
She has been serving as the campus' Assistant Principal. Green has more than 10 years of classroom experience in school districts in California, Louisiana and Texas. She also spent seven years as an interventionist in Burleson ISD.
Green has a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts/Graphic design and a Master's degree in Cross-Cultural Education.
